Tailfin Pass is the 3rd and final world in Cars: The Video Game, Cars: Mater-National Championship and Cars: Race-O-Rama.
Cars: The Video Game[]
Exploration in Tailfin Pass is unlocked after the player beats Sally's Wheel Well Sprint. After entering Tailfin Pass, there is a long road up to the Wheel Well. After beating Delinquent Road Hazards, many new areas become available such as the Abandoned Mine, where several postcards can be found.
Cars: Mater-National Championship[]
New roads have been paved and a new tunnel has been made. There is also less room to explore. Tailfin Pass is unlocked after Stadium Race 2 is beaten, when the player first enters, a cut scene plays where as Lightning enters, a race is occuring, Koji and Otto jet by, and Vince and Sonny are worn out, unable to keep up, Sonny even asks "Yo, who are these guys?" (Sonny's only dialogue in any cut scene) and Vince says maybe they are in the wrong race, and they regain their speed, Lightning simpily says "I guess there's a new guy in town".
Cars: Race-O-Rama[]
Oddly, the new roads have vanished and Tailfin Pass is now back to the way it was in Cars: The Video Game, with the exception of a single ramp that was added (and used in Road Race 1). There also is now no loading screen between Tailfin Pass and Radiator Springs (except in the PS2 version).
Trivia[]
- In Cars: The Video Game, monster truck characters cannot be played as in the Tailfin Pass events, while they can be in all other road races (except Rustbucket Race-O-Rama).
