A Loading Screen is shown in a Cars video game when the player is opening or exiting an event. They have varied throughout the series, here are some examples.
Cars: The Video Game Edit
The normal loading screen shows a Cars logo with a sky background. When the player first starts the game, the first loading screen will instead be the game's controls, which vary by version. Every event in the game (except the Wii/X360 exclusives) has a unique loading screen when opening up itself or it's cut scene. Tips will pop up from the bottom of the screen only on the Xbox 360 version of the game.
Cars: Mater-National Championship Edit
The game is now restricted to a single loading screen. It shows the game's title and Mater next to it. Additional tips will also continuously appear, and will vary depending on the event. The Wii and PS3 versions have three unique loading screens however, depending on whether the player is in Radiator Springs, Ornament Valley, or Tailfin Pass. They each show some of the said area, and Lightning racing against one of Otto, Gudmund, or Koji.
Cars: Race-O-Rama Edit
Events do not have unique loading screens, it will always pick from one of several, these include:
- Mater driving over some hills
- Lightning and two Doc Hudson Academy Students
- Chick Hicks and two VINs
- Lightning racing against Candice
- Lightning racing against El Machismo
- Lightning backgrounded by Stinger
Cars 2: The Video Game Edit
A loading screen will display a large card reading the event being loaded, a map showing where it is set in the world, and the artwork of a random character. Tips will sometimes appear on the bottom of the card.
