Boost is a recurring character in the Cars franchise, he is well known by fans for being the leader of so-called the "Delinquent Road Hazards" or "Tuner Gang".

Cars: The Video Game

Boost appears where he, Wingo, DJ, and Snot Rod block Lightning and fire up a race between the five. After losing, he accepted Chick Hicks' request to rob Lightning, of his gear, later having been captured by Lightning and thrown in the impound, where he admits his partnership with Chick. He is only playable in High Speed Heist, except in the PSP version, where he is playable in all events. There also are known to be Mods that make him playable in all events on normal versions.

Cars: Radiator Springs Adventures

Boost appears in level 3 of "Speed Trap" where Sheriff must catch and arrest him.

Cars: Mater-National Championship

Boost does not appear in the game, but has been added to the game as a playable character using mods.

Cars 2: The Video Game

Boost appears only in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game where he can be purchased as a DLC character for $3 in a pack with Wingo, DJ, and Snot Rod.

Cars: Fast as Lightning

Boost is a playable character unlocked after beating all of DJ's races. His track also is one of the few to have a special area, having a section of waterfalls with windy turns and bridges that can be tricked over.

Livery

Boost is black and purple with three large boost tanks on his trunk that read "N2O Cola", one of the sponsors of one of the 2006 Cars film's Piston Cup Racers, and has "BOOST" written on his side and license plate, which also says he is a from a city called "Nitropolis".

Trivia

  • Boost is the only known car in the series to permanently have purple eyes, the only other such cars (Bashman, Clarkson, and Medford) all have blue eyes in their respective Xbox 360 appearances. Boost is also the only known car to have purple eyes and not be an NPC Piston Cup Racer.
  • In the end scene of Rustbucket Race-O-Rama, Lightning is shown to receive a boost tank exactly like that of Boost by Mater for having defeated Tommy Joe and Co. in the race.
  • Boost's livery varies by appearance, in Cars: The Video Game and the movie, he was mostly gray, but in Cars 2: The Video Game and on diecasts, he is purple with black areas.
  • Although Boost's body is meant to always glow at night, the only appearance where it ever does is the Xbox 360 version of Cars: The Video Game. This also applies with the other DRH.
